Agim Markashi is currently the Vice President at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch. At this position, Agim is responsible for managing alternative investments, LOB expenses and detailing, managing capital call loans to private equity feeder funds, managing cash flow activities and maintaining books and records of Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments. Agim is a driven individual who has a wide variety of talents in his specific field. He is an expert in: Finance, financial reporting, auditing, GAAP, investments, account reconciliation, accounts payable and much more.

Prior to his work as Vice President, Agim was the Assistant Vice President and Senior Financial Analyst at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments for two years and two months. While at this position he had a wide array of duties. He was in charge of managing cash flow activities, including lines of credit, reporting and monitoring funding needs, leading day to day relationships with external accountants and tax preparers and overseeing books and records of certain private investment vehicles, to name a few.

For four years and three months, Agim Markashi was the Assistant Vice President and Senior Financial Analyst at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch & Co in Jersey City, NJ. He served as a legal entity controller for Merrill Lynch’s parent company Merrill Lynch and Co. as well as 22 other domestic and international holding companies. Agim put his talents to work as the primary reviewer of monthly results to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness. He also managed several different very important accounts while at this position, including cash settlements and funding transactions between parent holding companies and holding company subsidiaries and their affiliates, daily entries and reconciliations for UK entity third party broker deal loan settlements and many more.

Agim attended Hunter College in 2005 in New York City to earn his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He began honing his skills at his first job at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Alternative Investment Practice auditing hedge funds, private equity funds and asset management companies in 2007 for a year and seven months.

Agim Markashi is proficient in Oracle Operating System, Hyperion, Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and is also fluent in Albanian.

Outside of work Agim Markashi is a referee of local football leagues with the Richmond County Officials. He officiates for both children and adults in various leagues, 9-11 Flag Football, Next Level Football and several others. Agim is also an avid football and baseball fan, rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and New York Mets respectively.
